Two years ago I lost all of my books. A twenty-something year old collection of fiction, non-fiction, collector’s editions, first editions, science texts and my own thesis.
Yesterday, I walked 7km to get this book so I could start it again.
Ahhh . . . But why this one in particular?
Well . . . it’s easy. When I had my first boy, this book, The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings was given to me by a dear friend while I was recovering in the maternity ward at Katoomba hospital from an emergency c-section. I dunno . . . It seemed like the best place to start again.

It felt right.
So here we are. . . Or here I am, slowly rebuilding my book collection one by one like I’m rebuilding my life piece by piece after years of absolute misery.
One title at a time.
One step at a time.
. . .So I was thinking . . . while I’m rebuilding my collection, from time to time I’ll do a re-read and write a review. BUT! I don’t want to limit myself to just reading the books I used to own. I’d like some suggestions too! So feel free to drop a comment or something and I’ll add it to my list.
These are my goals while I try to get my writing muses back into play.
Come with me. It won’t always be pretty, but I promise it will be worth it.
